Watoto Children’s Choir: Beautiful Africa: A New Generation comes to Thunder Bay

Join the Watoto Children’s Choir for a brand new tour entitled Beautiful Africa: A New Generation and experience the energy of these beautiful Ugandan children.

This family-friendly concert features exotic African rhythm and harmonies accented by brilliant Ugandan costumes and inspirational stories from the children of Watoto Children’s Villages.

The choir is on a Canadian tour to raise awareness and support for Watoto, a child sponsorship organization that cares for over 2500 children in Uganda, East Africa. The children Watoto cares for have been orphaned or abandoned as a result of the AIDS epidemic, civil strife, extreme poverty, or other catastrophic events.

Watoto’s purpose is to RESCUE the vulnerable, RAISE them up to be leaders, so they can REBUILD their nation. Watoto relies on the support of many individuals in over 7 countries to sponsor a life and impact their future.

The tour features fair trade items for purchase that are made by women in the Living Hope program.

Over the past two years, To Tell has been touring continuously across Canada and United States with an exciting stage show. Zach Havens, fronts a dynamic group of performers, Nate Rundle, Justyn Schwindt and Mike Switzer, are all from London, Ontario. They have toured with Newsboys, Thousand Foot Krutch, Tokyo Police Club and many more popular groups.

This piano driven, pop/rock group writes many of their own songs, but also includes chart covers as part of their high energy show. With their strong vocal harmonies, that are catchy, hummable, energetic and fun for anyone and everyone.

Having just released their strongest effort in the form of an EP entitled Away from Everything, produced by Joel Bruyere of Thousand Foot Krutch. They are currently enjoying coast-to-coast radio play with placement on several nationally broadcast television programs. They are starting a western tour here in Thunder Bay with an electrifying live show.
