Programs & Groups
Hope CRC has several groups and programs you could participate in.
Sunday School
 Sunday school is available each Sunday morning for kids between 3 and 10 years old. Using the "Walk With Me" program, children sing songs, listen to Bible stories and do crafts or drama.
The program is based on different age levels; for example, with the younger children lots of images are used to tell the Bible story, while the older kids will discuss certain issues or will do drama to get a better understanding of a concept.
If you would like to give your child the opportunity to learn more about the Bible, take your child to a morning worship service at Hope at 10 AM each Sunday. Just let your child join the other kids when they leave for Sunday School during the service.
The Sunday school program usually takes a break between June and September. For more information, please e-mail info@hopecrc.net.
GEMS
GEMS stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. This program is for girls between 7 and 13. We meet on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 PM at Hope CRC with a two week on and one week off rotation. GEMS usually begins near the beginning of October and runs until the beginning of May. The program tries to encourage young girls to have a closer relationship with Jesus. The evening is filled with fun activities such as Bible study and crafts. We also do service activities, singing, and the
occasional outing (such as swimming, sleigh rides, and bowling).
The program works with a badge book that you get when you join. If you are interested, just come to Hope CRC on Thursday and
tell a counsellor you would like to join. If you like contact the church at (807)475-9285 for more information.
Cadets
Cadets is a program for boys between 7 and 13, on Monday nights between 7 and 8.30 PM at Hope CRC. Bible lessons, crafts, outings and sports...it is all part of the program, together with an incredible amount of fun! To join, just contact the church at (807)475-9285
Coffee Break
Coffee Break is a Bible study group for women any age. Just drop by on Tuesday nights; we meet from 7.30 - 9.00 PM at the Hope Church coffee room. We start off with coffee and tea and talk about the past week. After that we sing---and we love that!! After that we have prayer time, followed by Bible study.
You don't need Bible knowledge to join us; if you have a Bible great, if not we have one for you.
Bible study sounds heavy/dull/boring but I promise you, it's not. Come and check us out, we love to have you or call the church at (807)475-9285.
Praise Teams
There are several Praise Teams who lead on alternative Sundays. They all have a different style. For more information on how to join one of the Praise Teams or form a new one, contact the church at (807)475-9285.
Teen Club
The teen club is for grade 9 and 10 students and meets at different times and at different places; sometimes in the Church, sometimes at a member's house or for example at the ski hill. Activities vary from Bible study to fun stuff like paint ball and from fund raising to watching a movie and eating pizza. If you would like to join, e-mail us at teenclub@hopecrc.net and we can tell you when and where our next meeting is. Or keep an eye on the bulletin and just drop by.
Young Adults
The young Adults is a group for everyone who finished highschool till age 30. The group meets on Sundays over supper or get together for sports like volleybal or baseball. The meetings are encouraging a safe and open atmosphere.
Bible Study Group
If you would like to get together with other adults to study the Bible and to get to know each other through BBQs and Potluck suppers, a Bible study group might be something for you. The group has as a goal to support each other and to explore different aspects of Christian life. Meetings are held every 2nd or 3rd Sunday evening from 8 - 9.30 PM. Just call the church at (807)475-9285 to find out when the next meeting will be, come and join..
Friendship Group
The goal of Friendship is to present the love of Jesus to the mentally challenged of all ages. The group meets every other Monday between 7.30 and 9 pm in the Fellowship room. Activities include singing, prayertime, Bible stories, crafts and bowling. If you would like to join, just the church at (807)475-9285 to find out which Monday they meet next.
